A "cloudless" Titan globe.
Titan normally appears on the visible spectrum as a featureless yellow/orange sphere, courtesy of its thick atmosphere. This globe is a representation of the surface albedo with the atmosphere removed.
Mapping data, comes from Cassini's VIMS (Visual and Infrared Mapping Spectrometer) that is able to penetrate through the clouds and map the surface albedo features.
Titan is the largest moon of Saturn. The only moon in the solar system in possession of a dense atmosphere. Under it Titan hides a world with liquid seas, rivers, waves breaking in shores, rain clouds and rain. Unlike Earth's water cycle however, Titan has a cycle base on Methane. Water, on the -180 C average temperature moon being as much as a solid as Iron is on Earth.
